We believe and Obey the voice Of God and come to you on his message, who hath charged us to preach, and be instant with you in season and out of sea son, to lift up our voice like a trumpet, and show you your transgressions and your sins. He sees and pities you, while you are drowned inworldly cares and pleasures, eagerly following childish toys, and wasting that short and precious time for a thing Of~naught, in which you should make ready for an everlasting life and therefore he hath commanded us to call after you and tell you how you lose your labor and are about to lose yourxsouls, and tell' you what greater and better things you might certainly have if you would hearken to his call. Having'bought you at so dear a rate as the blood Of his Son Jesus Christ, and made you so free and general a promise Of pardon, and grace, and everlasting glory he commandethius to ten der all-this to you as the gift Of God, and to entreat you to consider the necessity and worth Of what he Ofi'ers.

Do not be of one mind one day and of another mind the next, but be done with the world, and resolvedly give up yourselves and all that you have to God. Do not stand around wavering as if you were uncertain whether God or the flesh is the better mas-ter, whether sin or holiness is the better way, or whether heaven or hell is the better result.

If you will turn and live, do it determinedly, and do not stand still and deliberate as if it were a doubtful case. Oh, careless sinners, I wish you only knew the love that you unthankfully neglect and the pre-ciousness of the blood of Christ that you de-spise! Oh, that you only knew the riches of the gospel! Oh, that you only knew a little of the certainty, the glory, and the blessedness of that everlasting life that you will not now set your hearts upon or be persuaded to seek diligently now! If you only knew the endless life with God that you now neglect, you would quickly cast away your sin, change your mind and life, change your course and company, turn the direction of your devotion, and spend your energy and time another way.
